Todd Cast has developed quite a strong reputation and following in the outdoor television industry over the past five years. He has over 30 years of experience in the field all across the globe and is known as a worldwide professional hunter. In addition to his lifelong passion for whitetail, Todd has developed an expertise in the international hunting community. He has hunted in New Zealand, South America, Canada, Europe, Africa and he even hunted with one of the “Lords” in Austria. Todd spent five years guiding turkey and whitetail hunters in Texas and also guided archery hunters in Africa.
In addition to all Todd’s worldwide hunting credits and record book animals, he offers private shooting lessons. As a long range rifle and archery instructor, Todd has a wealth of experience to help others make the most of that special moment when it comes. He has a special way of making others feel comfortable and maximize their abilities. Most importantly, Todd has catered his time to help those less fortunate and especially children.
As the founder of TNT Outdoor Explosion, LLC, Todd wanted to use this platform to help children with disabilities and life threatening diseases. That is why in early 2009 he founded and began the foundation “Cast of Dreams”. Cast of Dreams takes children with handicaps and terminal diseases on the dream hunt of a lifetime. This foundation has been very well received throughout the outdoor community. Numerous individuals, corporations and communities have joined with Todd to make a difference in these kids lives. Todd and the Cast of Dreams team have been able to take many deserving children and their families on the trip of a lifetime.
Todd is an experienced speaker and has been featured at numerous outdoor events across the country. He loves to share stories and instruction with fellow hunters and you can find him speaking to the outdoor community anywhere from a local church group to Cabela’s. Cast has a line of signature series products Todd has always been active in our rights to defend the great sport of hunting. Todd was the Chairman of the Board on a wildlife preserve for 4 years.
After graduating from college with his Bachelor’s degree, Todd spent 15 years in corporate America. He climbed the corporate ladder to become a Vice President of a major telecommunications company only to decide he wanted to climb a different type of ladder…one that was in the woods. He is married to Tia, who can also been seen on TNT, and they have two beautiful girls that have already been bitten by the hunting bug. Be sure and look for Todd in the field as he always wants to hear a good hunting story from his fellow hunters!
Growing up in Wisconsin, Derome West fell in love with the outdoors at an early age. By 12, he was hunting both small and big game and he was just beginning to experience the thrills of archery and bow hunting. In his teens, Derome was very competitive in field archery and 3D tournaments and was shooting at a national level. He credits his step father Harold Smith and his uncle Gerald Piekarski for fostering and growing his love of hunting and fishing. Good friend Mike Lutzow took it to the next level and tutored and mentored Derome in archery and bow hunting.
Following in the footsteps of his father, Derome enlisted in the US Army after high school. He volunteered to become an Army Ranger and after training was assigned to the elite 75th Ranger Regiment. Soon after reporting to the 1st battalion, he parachuted into combat in support of Operation Just Cause, in the Republic of Panama. He also participated in operation Iris Gold in Kuwait and Uphold Democracy in Haiti. Derome was the distinguished honor graduate of the US Army Ranger school and served for 8 years earning many awards and decorations, and the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Derome followed his dreams and began a career in law enforcement with the Texas Department of Public Safety in 1997. He began as a trooper in the Highway patrol, advanced to tactical flight officer and currently serves as a helicopter pilot. Derome is the recipient of the highest award given by the State of Texas, the Medal of Valor. He has also received a directors citation for his service.
In 2000, he began writing for outdoor magazines and bow hunting publications, he was a columnist for National Bowhunter and the Archery editor for THM, The Hunting Magazine. He has also been featured in numerous other magazines and appeared on several hunting shows before joining TNT. Derome was the chairman for Trophy Game Records of the World and served on the board of directors for several Safari Club International chapters and the National Wild Turkey Federation. Derome also started the first chapter of Whitetails Unlimited in the state of Texas. In 2006, with the help and guidance of several other veterans, Derome founded American Valor Outdoors. By honoring America's National services through the great outdoors, American Valor seeks to provide natural therapy to our nations warriors and heroes by providing all expense paid outdoor activities.
Derome is a member of several pro staffs for outdoor companies and often travels to retail stores to teach sales people about products and educate the customers.
Derome enjoys teaching safe and ethical hunting to future generations and has two sons, Michael and Cooper, who he enjoys taking to the woods and waters. He has bow hunted across the globe and enjoys the thrill of getting close to big game.
Marty Fischer is one of America’s best-known outdoor personalities. A graduate of Georgia Southern College, he is seen on national cable television by millions of outdoor enthusiasts and is read by more than a million outdoorsmen each month. He is a host/partner of the highly acclaimed series T-N-T Outdoor Explosion seen on the Pursuit Channel. Other TV credits include: shooting professional for Suzuki Great Outdoors on ESPN, Pull – America’s Great Gun Clubs and Direct Hit on OLN, American Hunter and Browning’s The Best There Is on The Outdoor Channel, Mossy Oak’s Hunting the Country and Remington Country on TNN, SportShooting America on Fox Sports South and most recently co-host of the well known outdoor series, Shotgun Journal since 1997.
He is a professional wingshooter, National Sporting Clays Association Level III shooting instructor, public speaker and gun club designer. He is widely respected as one of the finest shooting instructors in this country and one of America’s leading gun club design consultants and event managers. To date, he has designed more than 150 sporting clays facilities throughout North America, and has been referred to as “perhaps the most sought after gun club designer in America” by the Knoxville News-Sentinal newspaper.
Marty is the host of four hunting and two sporting clays instructional videos, An Introduction to Sporting Clays (1992), Developing Your Own Style of Shooting (1997), The Art and Science of Pheasant Hunting (1998), The Art and Science of Duck Hunting (1998) and The Art and Science of Goose Hunting (1999). These videos are on wing shooting and clay target instruction, and are available in major sporting goods retailers and over the Internet. His latest video offerings are “Wingshooting – Putting More Birds in Your Bag.” (2005) and Swamp Ghost – Hunting the Osceola Turkey (2006).
Additionally he has appeared in numerous hunting videos including Mossy Oak’s Whistling Wings II, Mossy Oak’s Extreme Spring 5 and Green Timber Duck Hunting II with Kirk McCullough.
He is an internationally read outdoor writer with columns and/or features in such publications as Quail Unlimited Magazine, Sporting Clays Magazine, Dove Hunter Magazine, Turkey Call, Southern Sporting Journal, Double Gun Journal, Sports Afield, Clay Shooting USA, Gray’s Sporting Journal, Shooting Sportsman, Sporting Classics among others.
His first book, Limbhangers and 4-Letter Words was released in late 2007, and is currently available. His second book, The Gun Digest Book of Shotgunning, is being published by Krause Publications. It will be released in January 2010. Limbhangers and 4-Letter Words is a non-fiction book about turkey hunting and his second book is a how to piece on wingshooting.
Fischer is a five-time competitor in the World Duck Calling Championship in Stuttgart, Arkansas, and was a four-time finalist in that event. He is a three-time Georgia State Duck Calling Champion, a Great Lakes Calumet Regional Duck Calling Champion and a Southeastern Regional Duck Calling Champion.
He is an avid whitetail hunter, and he has taken big game, turkeys and birds in more than 30 states and 11 different countries on four continents. Additionally he has ow ned two field champion Labrador retrievers, including the first chocolate Labrador in history to earn Master Hunting Retriever titles for AKC and NAHRA.
